| Today was a slower day, as expected following the storm earlier
this week. Over 400 head of slaughter cattle were represented today, with
prices on Holsteins steady and beef lower than last week. Beef cows averaged
in the low $70s for lean, mid $70s for smooth and $74-84 for younger lean
cows. Holstein cows averaged in the mid to high $60s for both lean and fleshy
cows. Those on the younger side brought closer to $70.00. Greeley Producers
is a full time night yard person, home and utilities included, pay is DOE.
